Design Studio
This site sits in Prague on the banks of Vltava River, it is a part of a larger redevelopment by the Prague City Council. We have always seen envelope systems that cover the building and the program as a thin silhouette or a wrapper. This project explores the idea of thickening the envelope and giving it volume.
Cafe
Container Architecture and Interior Design
Upcycling 10' shipping containers to make them into kitchen spaces for cafes, street food vendors. Designing the container in the way that it is cost effective and maximizes the utilization of the space. It allows for limited customization and mass production.
Quilted Layers
Design Project
This project is a proposal for the Santa Monica Airport to be transformed into a new ecology of densely quilted artificial landscape. This project challenges the notion of typical landscape design of forms. Figure / Ground is an active method used to produce figures on the ground.
4BHK - Stepped House
Residential - Achitecture & Interior Design
The Stepped house is a dear project one of my first as an architect. The house deals with multiple levels all having their own unique cuts and space utilization. The multi- layered plan allows for openings and cosy sit out spaces at each floor. Giving privacy to all and yet feels connected vertically.
Sister Sites
Design Project
We used an AI based technique (Style Transfer) to fuse symbols from two different cultures into an ambiguous hybrid. We liked how the results had the allure of both without clear meaning. We are interested in articulating a continuing commitment to international culture, but through a less obvious strategy.
VA Campus - Sports Centre
Design Project
Super Flat mat and oblique towers is what defines this project. Program-wise it is a Sports Centre for Veterans in the VA Campus, it has functions like Baseball Field, Baseball seating, Basketball court, Digital gaming zones and much more. This project explores the extents and functionality of oblique towers as they create a new skyline, while they elevate the horizon.
Design Development
Construction assembly
Design Development is one of the most important elements in the whole process. Done correctly, it can be a pivotal point in the project. This was a take on what consultancies architects have to interact with for their dream to become a reality. This was my first take on what the interior would look like as the skins peel off.
Comtemporary Art Museum
Design Project
A museum curates a collection of different works, so too does this museum curate a set of different types of spaces and the different ways to circulate between them. The project began with two primarily different conceptions of space and volume: the field space of the ground floor, and the more individuated, linear spaces of the bar volumes above.
Micro-housing
Design Project
The project deals with microhousing in China Town, Downtown Los Angeles. The idea is to enhance the spacious qualities of each unit. This problem is solved by providing voids between two units. The units are placed by considering the form of the massing, this strategy enables unique units in each stack. Multiple semi-recognizable figures give the China Town a new identity.
E-Sports Arena
Design Project
The intertwining of spaces is inspired by the readings from 3d scanning a dense mesh and a reflective cube. The efficiency and deflects of machine readings are closely considered for designing the space to enhance the architectural gaming experience. The E-Sports arena is programmed to give a dynamic full day experience with different perceptions for the machine( self driven cars) and humans.
Creative Office
Design Project
This project was one of the first project as I started with schematic designing. Redesigning a warehouse into a creative work environment. The course started out with collaging parts of office furniture like a chair and arriving at a composition. Then giving it the 3rd Dimensionality as I scale it to occupy the warehouse space.
